FOCUS ON IMAGING PHOTOGRAPHERS WIN HARD DRIVES FROM PROTAPE
Protape Announce Winners Of Their Recent 'Drive A Day' Competition
London, UK, April 2008: Media supply professionals Protape have announced the fortunate quartet of photographers who each won a Porsche-designed 250GB LaCie hard drive in the competition run by Protape from their stand at the Focus On Imaging exhibition, held at Birmingham's NEC at the end of February. One of the robust, data-secure drives was given away on the Protape stand at the exhibition at the end of each day of the show, the drive going to one of that day's competition entrants.
The winners, who are all owners of or partners in photographic businesses, were as follows:
• Gurdio Singh, who runs Andrew McCoy Photography (www.andrewmccoy.com) in Nuneaton;
• Andrew Brandon, who runs his own eponymous photography business
(www.andrewbrandon.com) in Llanarthney, near Carmarthen, Wales;
• Dianna Bonner, who runs World Vision Photo(www.worldvisionphotos.co.uk) from Hounslow, South-West London;
• and Lindsey Holland, of Agan Photography, based in Ormskirk, Lancashire.
"It came at just the right time, this," commented Gurdio Singh, "we needed a new backup drive, and were about to buy one anyway!" "It was my first visit to the Focus On Imaging show," added Andrew Brandon, "and I went over to the Protape stand to buy a few bits and pieces. By the end of the day, I'd won a new drive! And just as
well, as my laptop was getting too full...!" Dianna Bonner, meanwhile, was a returning Protape customer — her partner, who works in the audio industry, orders recording tape there regularly. Like Andrew Brandon, she was delighted with the results of visiting the Protape stand. "I only went over to buy some backup DVDs, and look what I got instead!"
The prizes were delivered to the lucky winners in mid-March. At the time of writing, all four were being used for photo storage and backup at the winners' businesses.
